About UsMike Wolfe had family in mind when he moved his roofing company north from Torrence to Gresham 30 yeas ago. Now he is surrounded by family throughout his work day. His daughter Lisa is the office manager, his son Steven has been a mainstay in the sales department for the past dozen years and his other daughter, Brandi, was recently brought to overhaul the company's computer system.
"My parents moved up here first, and it's beautiful country," Mike said. "It's been a great place to raise children- much better than a concrete city." Mike spent 15 years in construction before creating his AA Rite-Way Roofing company. It was a chance to oversee the work being done- a reprieve from the daily grind of physical labor. "i didn't want to kill my body anymore so i figured i'd try being a contractor" Mike said. "My kids make their own choice, but my plan from the beginning was for this to be a family business. Its one of the rewards of starting my own company." |

The AA Rite-Way Roofing company works largely in residential roof repair and replacement. while also mixing in some commercial maintenance accounts. "We're one of the few survivors of the recession, period," Mike said. We've never changed our name. We've never chance our phone number. We get a lot of work through referrals. People love dealing with a local family-owned business - we hear that a lot. We let our work speak for itself, but we don't send out a bill util the customer is 100 percent happy.
